Hello Everyone,
Hope you are all doing well. For those of you who didn't have an opportunity to attend last Thursday's Yacht club meeting, I'd like to bring you up to date with the latest on the TDPYC Yacht Club By-Laws review.
Over the last few months the club officers have received feedback on the updated TDPYC Yacht Club By-Laws. Our Commodore,
Rudy Stanley, asked this year's officers to work together to take a look at the specific sections that had been brought to our attention.
After meeting a couple of times and getting feedback from our Advisory Council, we are now ready to present the changes to the membership.
Per our TDPYC By-Laws, amendments to the by-laws may be made at any regular membership meeting by a 2/3rd concurring vote of the members present and voting, provided that the amendment has been stated in full in the call for, and with a 15 day notice of, the meeting at which such action is to take place.
The attached draft is being emailed to you now so that you have ample time to review the updates and come prepared to vote at our next regular monthly meeting, scheduled for September 1st, at Provinos. The changes are highlighted, however, I'll list the specific sections below for your convenience:
ARTICLE II (Membership)
Section 3; a, 1 and 2
ARTICLE IV (Officers)
Section 4; b
ARTICLE V (Committees)
Section 2; a
During the meeting we will review each change and answer any clarifying questions before you vote. We will have ballots at the meeting where you can vote for each individual amendment on it's own merit.

Your attention to this important club business is greatly appreciated. We hope that you will be able to come to the meeting and make your vote count. See you then.
Best Regards,
